The S12 update

Let's face it, I'm old now. I think I'll be writing a lot more in this blog than I have been in the past few years of its existence. For starters, I've been getting a lot of questions and comments about the elusive S12 that I kept stored away in a garage somewhere. And frankly, it's gone! Forever, ever, ever. I sold the shell to a close friend of mine by the name of Hung and he's thrown in a CA18DET from his old black car and et cetera, how it's going to turn out, who knows? That's the fun part.

Recently, I was asked for a couple photos of its glory days for the S12Silvia calendar thing and while browsing through the sloppy, unorganized mess I call my archives, I reminisced a little bit about that old thing. I really liked how it looked, what a shame though that I hated that car so much. Hah. Any who, those two photos above are the ones I picked.

I'm sure you're all well aware that I now have three projects to attend to (those of which I haven't touched in probably a millenia) that consists of the cb750, 240z and that headache of an ae86 shell. Priority numero uno is pretty much the motorcycle since I'm in need of a daily here in San Francisco and then the s13 stuff I have left over will be thrown into the ae86; Ka24, front suspension, you name it.

There's also a ton of stuff I haven't posted here over the course of my absence, they should be popping up here and there as I find them in my daily travels. Enough talking though, here's the S12 junk; archives of its peak and ending with the lackluster photos of its demise.

Times have been so good to me as of late, so much have changed in the past seven or so months that it's really a bit overwhelming looking back. So I'll keep it short for now, but perhaps I should spend some of those moments recording here again. Going through the archives of this blog, I don't think I've made a genuine post since probably around 2010 and it's pretty sucky since I've actually managed to garner a small readership over the years.

And speaking of that, I read a comment a little while ago that really, probably made me blush a little. I certainly thought that it was one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me at the time and it really picked me up. Thanks anonymous.

hey henry. you have great taste in music. you have excellent taste in cars. and maybe you think everyone's forgotten about you, that no one cares about the s12, or the s30, but I remember dammit. i remember that you were in super street, that you take great pictures, and that you like random, beautiful things. San Francisco

You know, I've been in this city for over four years. And over the course of my time here, I've been taking this city for granted more and more. I haven't taken too many photos of this place and I figure it's about time. I've a couple of photo projects lined up for this summer and knowing me, I hope I actually do them. Hah. But on the side I think this would be a fun way to record my daily travels throughout San Francisco. So I'll be taking at least one photo of the city during my days here.

I'm almost done with this school semester so I won't be in the city every day. I'll be at the parent's pretending to work on my bike, of course, but this should be the start of it for as long as I'm in SF. I don't carry my slr everywhere I go, so I'll be taking the large majority of these on my droid's toy cam.

The Naked and Famous

Saw them do their free live105 show in San Jose last week, super rad! I tried to get tickets to their show at The Great American Music Hall but it was sold out like 3 weeks before the show, so lucky for me I heard about their free show. Though their set only consisted of 3-4 songs, totally worth it. Really cool seeing them in person especially since they're from New Zealand.

This is obviously a very important blog update. I just tried a Vietnamese fruit that I've never tried before and it's pretty amazing. It's like, a giant grape with a big seed inside and it's a cousin of the lychee or something. Look at it, I mean just look at it. It's as big as a kiwi and you have to cut around it to open it up.

My photobucket pro account recently expired and instead of paying the lousy 25 dollars it cost for the account, I renewed it by buying this 8 dollar mug with my cat on it. He's graduating.
