Finally, now to move out and back home and attempt to get ready for the June 4 track event.

SPL tension rods are finally in

Since the ghetto tension rod bracket I made out of the s12 bracket didn't work(rod couldn't reach), I had to get those s14 brackets. Pretty surprising, 3/4 holes directly line up and one hole just needed to be ovaled out.









on the ground, is a lot lower than the stock s12 bracket is, around the same as the oil pan.

exhaust is on, lots of mixed opinions about this compared to the old blast pipes, but I'm stoked on it!

EXHAUST FINISHED

The exhaust is done! Compared to the old, incredibly loud 3in, I just wanted a quiet, less flashy exhaust. So I spent like a week working on this stupid thing, shit always takes a long time when you've got all the wrong tools. Building an entire exhaust while laying on the ground and having the car barely high enough to be under isn't the bee's knees.

The whole exhaust is 4 pieces, the downpipe, center muffler, over subframe pipe, and the end muffler; tucked up as much as I could. It isn't nearly as quiet as I was hoping for, but way better than before while still sounding burbly from the unequal length header. Should be mounted and all cool this coming weekend

Tires are mounted and they are super nice! They're a bit square but I'll have to deal with that until I get bigger wheels up front

The 2.5in 2x muffler exhaust is going well too, it's practically all done. I just need to paint it and finish making the end pipe. It isn't anywhere as quiet as I had hoped, but it'll do. First time making an exhaust alone and it just took forever; I spent so much time on it. I tried to make it as close to the body as possible so there are some weird bends in there. I used 2 magnaflow xl3's, two 2.5in U bends, 5ft of 2.5in, and random metal for the brackets. Made everything from the downpipe back

CALISPEC EXHAUST

I'm particularly lazy when trying to jack up my car high enough to do any exhaust work. Took off the old 3in that Yuta put together for me awhile back so it's been open collector awhile. Here's the bottom of it, it's super oval!

This old leaky exhaust, even with the muffler and resonator was still way way way too loud. So in my quest to be less of a noisy asshole and get less attention on the street, I've decided to weld up a 2.5in exhaust myself with 2 magnaflow XL3 mufflers. Still undecided on whether or not I'm keeping the blast pipes.

Haven't done much yet, just put together the new downpipe. Took the old megan downpipe and cut off the flange and sectioned it to reduce it down to 2.5in. Progress is slow, I need to get a working pipe cutter.







Downpipe, sits flush to the bottom of the firewall/chassis with about 5mm space. Welds look poopy but are super solid and the bottom of the downpipe has a few minor dents from beating the semi-not-really-working-dead pipe cutter with it, haha.
